- peanut butter as needed
- jam as needed
- 125ml milk
- 2 eggs
- 30g butter, divided
- 12 slices bread

- Beat together the eggs and milk until creamy and pale.
- Melt 1/3 of the butter in a frying pan over medium-low heat.
- Spread 6 slices of bread with peanut butter and 6 slices of bread with jam. Create a peanut butter-jam sandwich by sticking together 1 slice peanut butter bread with 1 slice jam bread. Repeat with the remaining bread.
- Working in batches, dip two sandwiches into the egg mixture and pan-fry until golden, about 2-3 minutes per side. Repeat with the other sandwiches and serve.

Nice, the peanut butter softens to make a great texture snack-23 Jan 2016

This is a nice variation for the usual French toast. I used thickly sliced bread and covered the pan so it would cook through. However if I would make it again, I would use regular sliced bread. Wonderful served with warmed maple syrup.-04 May 2013(Review from this site AU | NZ)
